(ABC) Book Club
Mission: Add more reading, Bonding & empowerment + Community outreach

About the Founder, Rosiland Robinson
Rosiland aka Roz grew up in Davenport, IA within a family of five siblings. She received her B.A. in Business Administration from St Ambrose University, IA and thereafter moved to Los Angeles, CA where she built a human resources career for 20 years plus working with a corporate LLC and the Federal government. After relocation to AZ, Rosiland was instrumental in implementing the State of Arizona’s reentry employment initiative at Perryville Women’s prison in Goodyear, AZ. This program assists women with career building skills to prepare for reentry into the community.
Rosiland’s passion for reading books started at a young age and finally in 2018, she started the book club, A Book in Common (ABC) based in Goodyear, AZ. The book club’s name is derived from the group’s reading the same book at the same time and thus having a book in common. ABC’s vision: Encourage more reading to promote increased knowledge and empowerment. ABC’s mission: Authentic sisterhood, Bonding and empowerment + Community outreach. ABC is unique as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving our community to encourage reading.
